BetterMagnets

A Deep Rock Galactic: Survivor plugin that fixes the artifact magnet experience. Only useful magnets spawn by default, and the long-ignored Company Issued Magnet finally gets a purpose.

The Problem

In Deep Rock Galactic: Survivor, magnets are a core part of the artifact loop — but the default magnet pool includes company-issued ones that cost you experience. Getting a bad magnet at the end of a run feels like a punishment.

BetterMagnets fixes the magnet economy.

What It Does

By default, only good magnets (the ones that give full XP) will spawn. No more getting cheated out of experience by a bad draw. And for the first time, the Company Issued Magnet artifact actually has a use.

Features

  • Only good magnets by default: Company-issued magnets are excluded from the spawn pool, giving you 100% experience magnets instead (toggle off if you prefer vanilla behavior)
  • Company Issued Magnet option: Optionally auto-add the company-issued magnet artifact to your inventory at run start — turning a useless item into a meaningful strategic choice

Installation

  1. Install BepInEx Bleeding Edge
  2. Extract BetterMagnets.zip into (GameFolder)/BepInEx/plugins/BetterMagnets/
  3. Launch the game once to generate the config file
